OBD II engine swap in California would require the donor engine and donor transmission to be swapped in to be considered a legal swap. Also if you do it, pick a year newer than 2000 as a donor cause anything older than that gets the obd port test and has to be ran on the rollers. Newer than 2000...

Seems like the old school antennas would work better, remember when you could get one 8 feet wide and 12 feet long. The ones they sell now are tiny.

Depends on how you drive it. A turbo 2.3 from the 80s making 170 hp can break them if you drive it rough.

I've watched some motor trend shows where they do 3 pages of math to figure out pinion angles. Way too much work when an angle finder will tell you.

Those figures are pretty accurate. Every 3.5 dB of attenuation is 50% less signal strength. I served 5 years for the cable company in Phoenix. If you need a cable with less attenuation, look at RG11.

You'd want the JBA headers for a true dual exhaust. The ones I had on my 2.9, the ball sockets at the collector kept loosening up and leaking so I had someone weld them to cure the problem. The silver coating looks decent. The other JBA set has surface rust from being outside for 15 years. $350...

The Borla headers are in great shape. The crossover pipe can be shortened to fit the 2.9. I have 2 sets of JBA headers for the 2.9 in storage, not near me currently. I think I still have the set of Hedmann headers I had on my 4.0 Aerostar van.

The 2.9 in the Merkur Scorpio has a twin tb, short runners on the intake and makes 4 hp more than the Ranger intake.

What's the budget? What are you looking to spend on a set of JBA headers? Borla?
