Hey all, I just swapped my 03 RWD ranger for an 07 4x4 this year. Loving it. One thing I miss is having the dome light switch on the actual light. The roll switch/dimmer near the headlight switch isn't accessible by the passenger. I want to know if there is a way to use an older-style dome...

I just upgraded from a 2002 to a low miles 2011. The 02 at 155,000 miles was still running great, but rust was taking over in a big way from driving in New England road salt. So nice to roll the clock back to 52,000 miles with zero rust on a truck that lived in VA and almost never saw snow...

This dang door ajar switches are a pain. I bought this 02 4x4 4.0 sup cab. About two and a half years ago. The dome light was and is gone all of it. And the ajar light stays on with key on. I have pulled both switches out of the front two doors and cleaned and tested ohms. Still the same...

so, here I am, at whit's end, and yes, I have tried to find older posts and/or comments on this, but nothing is helping me... door open indicators on in the dash, and interior light stays on. and yes, I have tested the wiring and switches in the front doors, because those are the indicators...

Well this is on a 2002 explorer Eddie, 4.0. The dome light stays on for 20 mins after you shut off the truck. At around the same time this started the keyless entry key pad stopped working as well. It almost seems like the computer thinks the door is open not letting the dome light go out. Also...
