My little Iron Ranger {Part 2}

I was just informed by someone on facebook that you got these lights. I'd like to get the black ones for my truck. Make sure you take plenty of pictures and describe how they fit and how they mount, since I know they can't possible mount the same as a stock headlight, since you gotta pop the reflector out of a stock light to bolt it to the fender!

Yeah, that was the weird part about them, the "holder" of the headlight needed to be used on this and the adjusters aren't used on them either. It's a matter of loosening the mounting screws and moving the whole assembly.

I'll take pics of it in the morning, since my bro installed one of them already. Looks pretty cool..... :icon_bounceblue:

i see i see, I kinda figured the headlight inside of there would adjust on its own, guess not!

Well, it looks like a couple of you guys are curious about these Euro headlights.

Well, one is installed (somewhat) and I have taken a few pics of the headlights.

Then I got my driver's side rear wheel installed. Shorter lugs and the center cap will fit nicely! :icon_thumby:

Got my rear sway bar installed. I was veeeeeeeeeeeery close to not fitting on the driver's side because it's so close to the shock mount. Another 1/8" to the left, and it wouldn't fit..... WHEW!! :icon_surprised:

I also got these from Summit Racing (took FOREVER!!)

Anyone know how to fit a round peg into a square hole!!? :dunno::icon_surprised:
The tabs don't match on the bottom lights.

And just a visual of my sidepipe placement. Again, this is just a rough estimate on where it's gonna go.

the problem with altezzas for older body styles...is they're all made for first gens, which use different style bulbs/sockets. You can either grind the light so the socket fits, or do some cutting/splicing and put a 1st gen harness on it.

Thanks for the pics of the headlights btw...now that I know they fit, I'll go ahead and buy a set!

Oh. OK. I'll have to ask the older brother and see what his opinion is on that light issue.

Yeah, they definitly look really nice! And you can hook up the LED's any way you want. I got mine hooked up to the driving lights. But you can hook them up to the blinker or a seperate switch, whichever you choose!

Also, if you're buying on ebay, be careful.....

i had the same problem with my tailights. used a dremel and notched them out different to fit.

I think my bro found an easy solution to the taillight problem that's been fixed w/o cutting the notches bigger or splicing in a new harness.

I won't know until tomorrow when I take a look.....

Well, turns out all he did was take a little off the light AND off the bulb. Genius!

And I'm afraid I have only one option to fit the front caps on the rim. It may or may not look pretty, but I'm gonna have to hole saw a hole the exact size of the dust cap and let it fit through the cap. No matter what I do, the cap keeps hitting the end of the spindle.

Just gotta be careful...... O_O

Can't you just get a 1/4 spacer?, I don't think that would make much difference on the looks, but should let you clear the caps.

Robert

They are spaced a 1/4", but the caps still hit the spindle. I think on the other style rims, the caps bulge out a little for the right amount of clearance and these caps are flush more or less.

I don't wanna, but I gotta, ya know?

I don't think words can describe how awesome I think this is......
