Click tell me what you think I'll belive it when I see this prop do it. But it ain't gonna happen. It reminds me when I still see all those GM adds advertising Best HD ever with best in class HP and torque ratings at 397 HP 765 TQ 21,000 Lbs towing cap. 6,635 Lbs payload. When Ford Was advertising 400 HP 800 TQ 24,400 Lbs towing and 6,520 Lbs payload. This is one more concept to waste peoples time and money, like they have the money to waste.

Well, you know. Someone leads the way, others will follow.

Besides, Ford has tested, driven, raced, and proven their R&D to the public openly. GM, not so much. So with GM, its like a mystery box and you don't know what you are getting.

GM always shows up late to the party, whether its a Raptor knock off, the HHR coming out waaaaay after the PT Cruiser becomes bland, or even the whole rear engine boxer in Corvairs to imitate VW's that had them (and Tatra's before) back in the 30's, not to mention the whole "pony car" thing got it's idea from the only car with a "pony" on it...

the gmc is one of those trucks for guys that want to look cool. chrome wheels, diesel, heavy as shit. you see guys driving the biggest truck they can buy because they think it makes them cooler. the raptor is actually able to get launched off a jump! i see this gmc version selling well though, only because there are a lot of guys that love to show off how rugged they think they are. they think having a 3500 diesel is better because its bigger than a 1500 and can tow more, even though they never ever would tow with their trucks. i will stick with my ranger, its all i need size and power wise.... i dont have a need to have a truck capable of towing over 5000lbs and costing $1000 to do brakes on it.

The Raptor will eat this truck alive. People have tried to beat Ford in the truck segment and have failed.

GM should know what Ford is an acronym for.......

Found Off Road Dominating.

well the gmc has two things going for it. it come with a diesel that is defiantly more cool make that baby smoke. Then it come with a more of a mud tire then an a/t like the raptor. idk witch one i would buy the raptor has a better looking body but diesel is always fun it would be a hard derision

The only thing chevy has going for them with a duramax is the torque, cause the raptors 6.2L stomps that 397 Hp rating with 411 HP. So While they are sitting at the light spinning tires and blowing coal your already a quarter mile down the road has jumped the ditch and is half way through the field.

Is a Trex? LMFAO okay then...
This is just a fancy toy they've thrown together to pretend like they know how to make a real truck.
Lets see it win some races, and then hit the marketplace, and we'll see who eats who.

Besides, they arn't even the same design concept! The Raptor is a desert racer, that GMC thing is a wanna-be Mud queen.

You can't compare a 1/2 ton to a 3/4 or 1 ton. Nuff said.

From a non-biased standpoint I really like the looks. I think it is too big (and too expensive) to be able to hit the market as is. BUT, it does give us a glimpse of what the new GMC Sierra will look like. I doubt we'll see a Raptor like model, and if we do, it'll prob be like the Raptor, in that it'll be a Sierra in an off-road package.

As far as guys buying it to look cooler, guys will buy dually Ford F-350s on 22s, Silvy 3500 on 22s, and Ram 3500 on 22s. It doesn't make a difference on the brand really, they all can be sought after to look cool. In reality, very few people actually NEED a full size truck and a very small percentage will use them to their full potential. So you could call the majority of full size truck buyers "Posers" or whatever word you have them described as.

Full size trucks are so damn close to each other in specs that all it comes down to is personal preference on the drive feel and the looks...

I will say the Raptor, at this point in time, fills a niche that no one else meets up with, one could argue the H3T, but who's even seen one of those lately. I'm glad Ford brought the concept out, it's a looker, and a performer. Unfortunately most people I see with them will NEVER even touch the slightest form of "Off-Road," prob not even gravel... lmao, again stupid people trying to look cool. They do it will all cars/trucks...

Stay in school, Son.

Unfortunately, this is just a concept, has to meet government approval first.:icon_rofl:

Raptor= Baja oriented to go fast
New GMC= Go slow crawling over rocks and mud.

No comparison in my eye.
