I had a customer the other day with an F150 and a 351. So naturally I was talking to him about it, asking how he liked it, blah blah blah.


He said he was having a tough time getting it through emissions, so finally his mechanic buddy helped him fix it. The problem was an o2 sensor.

He then went on to explain that the o2 sensor is like an extra spark plug in the exhaust that burns off extra emissions.

Dude, stop spreading bad info!

Your o2 sensor is there to let you know that you've got too much weight in the bed and the engine is running out of breath.

The one in my Ranger was starting to go bad and kept going off everytime I was driving uphill. I used to have to pop the hood and give it a drink of water before each hill.

i was picking up some stuff at auto zone the other day and i had not met or talked to the guy helping me so when he asked what i needed i told him "THE MGR.!" he said he was not there (i knew this) how could he help -i told him the idler arms he sells are defective cuz my car still dies at stop lights-the commercial sales guy heard my voice and came out handed me my return credits and kicked ME OUT!

I've heard that once before! The same guy said that if I want to see the OBDII codes, they'll be written down on the crankshaft journal.

I thought the codes were stored in the computer? Dont you have to take the comp out, open it up, and they are written down inside it?
