i went from the bottom, because there isn't really anywhere decent to hang the lights from, those can burn upside down, so i wouldn't need any type of anything fancy... but above the openings, the header pannel is plastic/composite, and above that is just a thin piece of metal (where the stickers are, under the hood) and it didn't look like it would be very asthetic to have bolts sticking through there...

where i have them mounted on the bottom is VERY sturdy... i've got 2 bolts holding each block to the truck, and then the 1 bolt holding the light to the block, the square of the bottom of the block holds it from wobbling, and honestly, it would be solid even if i only used 1 bolt... i am VERY happy with the mounting of them... my aiming of them, not so much though lol

yeah i had been looking at ways to mount lights in there in my truck... till i looked at it. i have a factory trans cooler, so i'm kind of limited on what i can do... maybe LEDs

i think i'm going to swoop on your style and look for an SXT grill, i really like the look of it.

have at er! i wanted to do the honneycomb grill, but then i found out with the newer hood, the grill isn't the same, and the new honey comb grill looks like shit...

the trans cooler shouldn't interfere too much... i've got a fair amount of distance behind those lights, and could have mounted them farther forward... they are probably 4" from the grill...
