dude i love it i am glad i am not the only one useing a level II offroad like this. i get alot of shit for going offroad like this

yeah, but (no offense) i think a lot of people know you don't use yours offroad much (if at all) as you can get zero flex out of the amount of fender well you have now... between the lift, tires, and torsion crank on my truck, i'm sitting about 8" higher than it was when i bought it, and i had to make custom bump stops to stop my tires from hitting the fenders, and they STILL hit a little bit... (will be making them even better when i get a day off or 2)

you get alot of shit??? i have 32" mud tires on my unlifted 2wd 4.0

getting shits my middle name
lol ur truck looks capable to me bro

ya i got 33's and mine flex perfectly and no rub i love it bro. urs seems to do great off-road

My 32" at's rubbed on my inner fenders when I ran with short bumpstops up front. I put the stock bumpstops in and I've bottomed out hard without rubbing. I trimmed my bedsides a little so that they don't rub, they were chewing my tires up pretty good. What is the offset on your wheels? My 32x11.5 seen to stick out more than your 33s :dunno: *edit maybe about the same*

Currently running torsion crank up front and 64's out back.

Btw, how did you get a new clutch under warranty? I thought it was only covered for something stupid like 20k :dunno:
My clutch has never quite felt right even when I picked it up with 105km, but ford always said its fine. :annoyed:

mine are 33x12.5 on 15x10 with a 3.5? backspace? not too sure, too many numbers to remember... i've also got flares which make them seem like they aren't as wide... stock my truck's stance looks so funny compared to a non flare truck

when i bought the truck, i told them i wasn't comfortable buying the truck, as there was something funny in the pedal, i said i wasn't going to buy it without some sort of guarantee, and i said "it's not like you guys are going to give me a warranty on the clutch" and the sales manager said sure we will! and wrote it into the sales contract... it had 61000km on it when i picked it up, so about 40000miles, sure enough a year later, clutch sounded like a straw through a plastic lid (eee errrr eee errr) when you press it, slave was gone, i told them to replace it and go get my sales receipt, sure enough "1 year 20,000km warranty on clutch, subject to non abuse" written right on my sales contract :D:D:D:D

had it replaced a year later because the clutch they put in wore out because it wasn't fully disengaging... so i'm on full clutch set 3 for FREE :D the dealerships hate me... i also had a new torsen diff and new syncros put in

SWEET! IFS REPRESENT!!!!!! lol

I broke my flares off...sporting speed holes now :yahoo:

Ford has some sort of TSB out for clutch slaves from 04-09, dug this up on trs archives:
http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-31277.html

My slave has always been noisy, and I think its starting to leak now too, my resevoir is sitting at about half way. My truck has about 62k on it now, I really don't want to put a new clutch in it soon, I'm past the point of being covered by the TSB
I really hope it doesnt have a dual mass flywheel, cuz its gonna go to the junk heap and get replaced by a regular flywheel :dunno:

Hey man I'm from sask and I wanna make my stock 2008 ranger fx4 look something like yours! Just wondering what kind of body lift did you use? And what size are your rims? I wanna try get 33x12.5 tires in there but a tire shop told me they wouldn't fit with a lift but I saw your truck and showed them haha but if you could give me any tips like backspacing and offset or if you just through them on? I hope I only got to do a 3 inch body lift then rims and tires! I'm new to all of this so anything helps ! Thanks!

well, the fx4 and fx4 level II are different, not sure if the springs are different or not, but even with a 3" body lift, they won't fit well... i've got explorer leafs, belltech 6400 shackles, and "custom" bumpstops to stop my rear tires from hitting the bed, and even still it rubs a little bit, when i just had the body lift on, the tires would hit the bed hard, bent them up pretty good too...

take a look at my build thread, it should have the rim specs, but i don't remember tbh

Thanks man!
