the slo-vo build thread...

Jon, just grab you an electronic flasher from the autoparts store, make sure it supports LED lights....

never knew there was such a thing, guess ill look into it when my lazy ass solders them up

Yeah, 95+ rangers use a multiflasher, both the hazards and the blinkers use the same flasher (5 wire), I plugged an E-flasher into it, and it gave me blinkers without the key on, but I don't have hazards (not that I need them, I think I have enough blinking lights in reserve :D) just never bothered with getting a 2nd flasher and wiring them up...All I need to do is split a ground wire (each flasher needs a ground, and the multiflasher uses only one ground) then hook up the 2 flashers and I'm set...

welp didnt get to do the valve cover gaskets today, had to work and too tired to mess with it. might do it one day this week also need to get my hinges made up to swap doors easier the stockers are heavy sumbitches

Once you do the door hinges, I'm copying you. :thefinger:

lol, im going to try to do them without even removing the hinge part bolted to the cab...i think i can do it

dont have any pics uploaded yet but i got my driver door hinges done tonight, havent tried the full door yet. but i can pull the half door in about 10 seconds easy on easy off its going to be nice

sorry for the shitty pics it was getting dark, i welded a brace to the top hinge to help hold some weight thinking about doing the bottom also

it didnt work exactly like i planned, but it will work. took the truck for a drive no rattles just have to do a little work aligning everything back up and cut up another set of hinges for the full doors

Yup, the bottom pin is longer so that you don't have to line both hinges up perfect just get the bottom in then drop the top down. I'm going to brace the bottom hinge also.

Probably would have been alot quicker to just take out the stock pins and throw in some pull pins but I didn't want the trouble of trying to keep up with them, this way just open the door lift up and it's off

its so much better already, it didnt take me long to switch doors before maybe 10 minutes but it was a pain in the ass trying to hold the 80lb door with my left hand and get a bolt started with my right and trying to re-align them everytime.

and plus the way i did it the only thing i modified was the hinges so if i wanted to go back all i would need is new hinges, the brace on the top just sits against the sheetmetal its not welded

as far as the solid axle im just wanting to step up the rangers game a little, i want simple and stout so we will see what i come up with
