Ford #1

the thing i love about drag racing is when the top fuelers take off.....you can feel the shock wave from that explosion of power going right through you.

I have never been to a top fuel race. I do enjoy the local 1/8th mile track on fun night (every friday night) though. Everything crawls out of the woodwork :icon_thumby:

Ah yes, what an awesome feeling. Somebody should bottle the smell (nitromethane and burnt tires) too and market it as cologne.

Have you ever gone down in the pits and watch them rebuild the engine between races? That's something everyone should watch at least once.

Yeah, everyone in the pit crew has their job and boy do they haul a$$ getting it done. I'm better at moving when they start it because it will burn your eyes if you're too close.

I happened to watch Cruz Pedregon's motor getting built just before he broke the track record here at 309.49mph. That was back in 2001, and is still the track record. Being this high in altitude in Salt Lake, 309mph is a pretty awesome deal.
