Where does one find those maps? Or does someone have a GPS file they'd be willing to share? I was out there with a group of Jeeps this past weekend, and a "real" map would have been nice.

I'm glad to see that someone has been marking the trails as the first time I was out there ('09) it was a real pain to try to find your way around. I'm looking forward to making another trip out there sometime this year (hopefully after it dries out some).

Yup. Everywhere we go is at least a 2+ hour drive for us, so it isn't a big deal to cruise out to Interlake (heck, we'd call it a local trip ). The Jeep club I hang out with (at least until they find out that I'm building a ranger) has most of its memebers on the West Side of IL (mostly around the Columbia/Chester area). Though there are a few of that are around the Carbondale/Centrailia area too.

Nope, but they're on "the list". We've mostly just stuck to the parks that are west of us (Flat Nasty and Washita Mx). We're looking to hit a few more of the IN parks this year though (Attica and Redbird) as well trying to make it down to LBL or Turkey Bay.

It'll be awhile as the Ranger hasn't even gone under the knife yet (Should happen this weekend ). So we'd be looking at a fall run most likely. Either way, I'll shoot you a PM when we get ready to head down that way.

Nothing too exciting, D44/60 with leafs (conestoga wagon style baby!), 1350/54 Doubler, Cut a good 10" out of the frame to get the wheel base closer to 110-105", exo at some point before I bend it up like I have my Cherokee.

I dig going through the build threads on here, I'll add mine as I go. If for no other reason than to help me recall what I've done to the darn thing
