My idea of a Shelby Ranger if there would have been one.

fair enough i can agree with that logic, i did NOT know they put a v10 in a mustang... you got sauce for that fact?

lol yes apparently they are crap too... did you know they made econoline dualies?

I didn't know that they ever did that either, but IIRC a company put V10s in a few Marauders for a police department down in FL.

I do know that in the trucks the V10s were crap. Dad went to look at a F-250 with less than 60K miles on it. The truck was in great shape, but the V10 under the hood was replaced at ~50K. They guy said the truck ran great, but didn't mention the new motor dad just happened to find the receipt in the glove box when he was checking out the truck. It better have have run great with less than 10K on it. That did explain why the truck was being sold so cheap though, they wanted it gone before they had to replace the motor again. Needless to say we ran away.

Update on the fuel mileadge.. I got it to 19.5 MPG city just by tightening the 3 bolts on the collector... Still don't know why when I turn on the blower motor it makes the voltage gauge drop. (still in the normal range)

I use to see an unmarked Marauder on side of HWY 50 all the time.. Those things were bad with the V8 in them.. I never knew anything about the Ford V10 but I did work for Dodge when they introduced theirs... I think back then Dodges' thing was they were the leader and the rest were followers... In a way it was true... I think the prowler lead to the old school looks of the Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger. They were the first to put a V10 in something american. (since I was born).Just my .02 worth...

My BII does that, the lights don't dim, but at idle and with the lights on, and the blower running, the gauge will drop down to the center line, but when I raise the idle, it comes up a bit, I have had the battery checked, and the alt. checked, the auto parts store say it's ok.

If someone wanted to donate a v10 to me, I could put it in my Ranger, it's 4.0 is still out and waiting for me to get a gasket kit for it.

I am going to check all the grounds when it warms up...

I have seen power widows make dash lights dim in newer vehicles co-worker has that happen hell it killed the vehicle once doing it (2001 jetta). The blower motor eats a lot of current to move all that air and the air being under slight pressure when being forced to move will definaly cause a voltage drop. When I turn mine on samthing happens, I can see my dash lights dim a hair. At 800rom my lights are dim but once at 1000rpm they brightn back up, that all my lights. But due to the unknown age of my alternator I will be replacing that soon.

Glad to hear the mileage thing is figgered out wish I was getting that good.
