I think "Urban Bomber" would be a nice name!


What's really cool is that I pretty much have the same thing(except you are a standard cab and I'm a super cab), and I've either fixed or welded or somehow took apart/put back together every square inch of my truck.

I can tell you 2 key spots to check up on:

1. All the leaf spring hangers. The rear ones on mine were almost rusted through, and I have the capabilites to make a new/HD set.

2. The transmission crossmember. It loves to rust out at the actual riveted piece on the frame and on the outermost parts of the crossmember. Again, I could replicate it very easily.

I didn't see an exact list for which year of Rangers have OBDI, but I'm pretty sure yours falls in that category.

I dunno.

I never had one engine light come on in mine, even with the 302 swap.

Until my brother learned that the bulb was burnt out and, oh, 23 codes were flashing on his code reader.

i found that i have some rust through on the cab floor how hard is it to patch that?

Depends on where the hole is.

Could you get some pic-ees for us?

You need a license plate to fix that. Or a few. Cut the rust out then weld plates over the hole.

My mom's old Mustang has a few plates welded in the foot wells. Works well.
