what was the last ALBUM/CD you listened to...

...wait. Portnoy left?

Yes, they split in September. He played 3 tours in the summer and then was supposed to get back to the studio with DT and start the new album. He was burned out so he suggested a break for a few months, and Petrucci/LaBrie/Myung/Rudess told Portnoy they wanted to proceed without him.

Oh, and coincidentally, it was 25 years to the day that the band was formed.

To be perfectly honest I think it was about time something happened with them. I haven't listened much to their most recent album but in my opinion everything since Train of Thought has been downhill. Hopefully with the change they can all do something new that shows how good of musicians they really are.

by the way, in the middle of listening to Tiamat - Wild Honey.

Check out the song "Count of Tuscany" on BC&SL

That's what I'm jamming right now.

Dream Theater - Count of Tuscany

Ya know my buddy in Belgium JUST recommended that exact same song (he's not even a DT fan) but it's too long for me right now. Maybe after the Vodka wears off. :icon_cheers:

Now I'm listening to "keep telling myself it's alright" by Ashes Divide

BTW, It's based on an experience that John Petrucci had.

NOFX - The Decline now

Jerry Reed Greatest Hits. All of the songs on the album are good, but these three are my favorites.

East Bound and Down
Texas Bound and Flying
Guitar Man

Punk Goes Pop Volume 3.

Just got it onto iTunes, it's so good. lol

either Happiness or Downtown Battle Mountain by Dance Gavin Dance

Knights Of The Abyss - The Culling Of Wolves

Such an awesome album, I recommend it to all y'all who dig metal.
