TRS Banner Across North America!

Status
Not open for further replies.
This post is for keeping track of the mileage TRS members put on their vehicles while transporting the Banner. Their mileage to return to their home-town after handing the Banner off should be included in their total miles (Round trip---R.T.)

Also, TRS members who did not transport the Banner, but met somewhere to sign the Banner should post their mileage

INSANEJUGHEAD.....transporter.....750 miles.....16hrs.

85_RANGER4X4.......transporter.....140 miles.....3 hrs.

DOORGUNNER.........transporter.....765 miles.....18 hrs.

SCOTTYJ...............transporter.....551 miles.....9.5 hrs.

DANGERRANGER_91..transporter....455 miles & counting ??hrs.

HOOSIER1104.........transporter....525 miles......12 hrs.

I didn't transport the Banner but I did travel 3086 miles to sign it. I actually traveled farther but that is round trip from Costa Mesa, CA to Houston, TX. That totals up to around 44 hours.
I offered to transport it but AgPete had more signatures to obtain before letting it go. We had a good signing meet.
gw33gp..................sign...............3086............44 hrs.

Oh, InsaneJH:

I tried the Sam Adams Seasonal Winter Lager, 2 days ago. Really good stuff. Have you gotten to it yet?

Oh yes. I've been enjoying that stuff yearly for the past four years. I've got one more left in my fridge right now.

*clink* Here's to your discovery of the good stuff!

Well, the plan for it was to still travel to Oklahoma and through Texas still. And Gary, you would have skipped 1/2 the country! :icon_surprised:

But yea, didn't you come for family, with the benefit of the Banner being here at the same time? That'd be crazy for JUST the signing of the Banner...

I really liked your truck and your camper, with a fridge in the cab. I'll get a manual T-case, soon enough!

I traveled 805 miles, cant remember the hours. I may have put it in an earlier posting on this thread...

AgPete139..................transporter...............805 miles............??? hrs (I'll make a guess/estimate later)

I've always known Sam Adams to be good, but my cherry has been popped regarding this Winter. Speaking of which, how do you like the Cherry Wheat? *makes an apathetic face and shrugs* I don't really care for it, either way. It's too sweet after 8 oz...

I didn't care much for the cherry wheat either. It's the only Sam Adams that I would turn down and choose to drink a light beer over.

Now, Coastal Wheat is a whole different story. I can't WAIT to get myself some more of that. It's amazing with the slight lemon zing they add to it.

Back on subject...

DangerRanger~91 and I are planning on doing this trip on a Sunday... but which one is a different question. Hanzo, we'll keep you informed on when we'll do this.

Be patient.

The mileage chart on page #126.....Post #1886 is updated!!!!

Yes Pete, I was traveling all over the place at that time. I just planned to be near Houston when I was guessing it would arrive.

I was not planning to take it back to CA, I was headed up through TX, OK and KS. I was willing to drop it off anywhere along the way but I had to leave before you were able to get the other signatures you had already committed to. It was better that way anyway. I had a long enough days drive already from Houston to near Kansas City.

gw........you now hold the signing mileage record.....looks like timing is everything!

Sorry guys - haven't been here in a while. Hazmat put up some good numbers too - probably 5-600 miles for only transporting the banner. In two days Dallas to Waco to Dallas to OK and back.

My bad! Pm'd.

EDIT: Just saw that it hasn't been to Michigan. I think it would be extremely cool to have it not only dunked in both oceans, but in each Great Lake. I can be the one to dunk it in Lake Michigan if need be, I live pretty close.
