Too bad I've never had a chance to try any kind of venison before.
I can recall only one deer we couldn't stand to eat. It had a sour smell while it was hanging, and it was worse when we cooked some of the meat.
whatever part ends up against the exhaust after running the little bugger over,rip it off and chow down.

was it gutshot by any chance? a few years ago my grandpa gutshot a deer and all the meat tasted like sh**, especially the inner loins
