shyjacker 6inch, 8inch

I was wondering if anyone knew why the 8 inch kit is so much cheaper than the 6 inch kit. Its a 500$ difference and there both class 2 kits

So if anyone has any information let me no, cause if there isn't any huge problems with the 8 inch lift like drive shaft length, steering concerns of ride quality problems I'm just going to get the 8 inch kit any info would be great.

500 diffrence sounds like one may not come with extend radius arms?

Check to see what each comes with as far as springs, blocks, etc.

anyting above a 6" lift on the rangers stock TTB setup is a literal nightmare to aling aswell as durability, more for a show truck then a wheeler, i think most guys that have lifted mroe then a few of these will agree with me

if its a class 2 it comes with every thing,rear lift springs,radius arms all that

I found it on jackit.com and the 6 inch is 1900 bucks and the 8 inch is 1500 bucks, Both comes with the deluexe package with extended radius arms, new rear spring, extended brake lines and drop ptiman arms.

BS.......that is why Skyjacker includes the proper drop brackets.....AND if you have a supercab 4.0 4wd, you can use the 8" lifted springs and run the 6" drop brackets for an even easier alignment.....

I am running 6" lifted coils on the 4" drop bracket hole.....i have the hole for the 6" springs, but it doesn't align well....

Steering can be solved with the proper extreme Skyjacker drop pitman arm and the Superlift Superunner steering system......you will have to SLIGHTLY modify the Superunner system, but it is worth it..


the 8" kit comes with new rear 6" lifted leafs (6" w/ stock blocks or 4" with no blocks - which is what I am running in my arse end, no blocks) and radius arm drop brackets...

No, the extreme drop arm is not enough to properly correct the steering angle on an 8" lift (it barely works with 6" of lift).

You have to go full-custom-fab to get the steering decent on a TTB lifted 8" (the Superlift kit won't be durable modded for 8" either, too much leverage on the idlerarm bushings).

You'd be better of using a bodylift (or SAS) if you want more than 6" lift

have u ever run or had a truck with a 8" shtijacker kit aligned, u will never get a decent alingment done on a 8" system even with everything done properly. the 6" is considerably more tolerable in regards to alingment. i never install the 8" kit on a street truck, if its a trail truck or offroad only then id say follow there advice, but if u plan on driving the truck on the road at all then i would suggest highly not todo the 8" lift, especially since it somes with radius arm drop brackets instead of extended radius arms

yes I have. I have installed the 8" kit on 2 different trucks and had them aligned easily. Actually it wasn't the 8" kit, but a 6" kit with the 8" coils......both trucks were 4.0 supercabs....
