Looks like we are going to make the show. I got the intake shined back up and My better half got all but washing and a wax job done... She has it looking awesome!!! Also got new battery and pulley installed... So since the road trip I have replaced the Battery, One side of the header gaskets, new thermostat (190), Idler pulley. I have the VSS but not on yet... Not too bad for a ground up build without any road testing on anything during the build.... One issue that has been haunting since the day before the trip is the belt. Old belt 10 years old... fine cept it's worn out... got new belt.. Squealed like crazy... got nuther new belt fine then squealed like crazy after putting her up to 70. Bought belt dressing.Still squealed. changed alt pulley back to stock size in TN. Still squealed but not as bad but way too annoying. tonight old belt back on.. Road test no sqeal... WTH????? Taking new belt back tomorrow after show!!!

Well my exhaustive research hasn't really confirmed anything. From the looks of it yes. And I talked one of the guys that's been there for 30 years and he said yes. The easiest way to tell is you can measure the shoes; 2-1/2" width means 10" drums, 1-3/4" means 9 inch. I know it doesn't really help but it is definitely some info.

That's all I got multi. Nothing definitive but damn close.

did you check the length of the new belts?? could be a touch longer then the old one, when you take the new back, see if you can get one ether 1/2" or 1" shorter.

yeah, and if im not mistaken a lot of the aftermarket belts are a touch longer than a stock motorcraft.

Ive had real good luck with my goodyear gatorback however.

Yeah, go pricey aftermarket (gatorback, prestone) or Motorcraft IMHO.

We are back from the show.. Turns out some of the judging appeared to be good ole boy judging... We had a really good time though. The truck got a lot of attention and we knew going in unfinished we didn't have much of a chance.. I'll post up some pics from the show in a little while... Oh yeah new Gates belt is quiet as a mouse!!! Thanks for the info guys!!
