I found a manual for my BII but its 70 bucks. It's the original manual from 86 but I'm wonder if its worth the money. Is there any information that I can't get from a Hayes Manual? I'd use it more for reference than anything.

If your gonna keep the vehicle for a while....it's woth 10X's that!!!

but...you could try to find a cheaper one....(haynes & chilton are O.K.....but they're known for not having ALL the information that you nedd sometimes!!!!

I have the Hayes but it just seems so generic. If you know of a place that has it for less, let me know. I'm living off of a college budget so a few bucks saved here can go a long way.

Haynes = suck

Chilton = disorganized suck

Ford manual = Better than bacon.

I have used all three, and have all three for my truck. I bought the Ford manual more for novelty because by then I knew pretty much all I needed about the truck. If you were lucky enough to find one for only $70 it is easily worth that.

Well I can only eat so much bacon at once. I'll read the shop manual cover to cover in one sitting.

Also, bacon doesn't help me fix the truck.

It gives you the strength to fix your truck, although it could be a distraction.

And right there is where it doesn't help me fix the truck.

Enough with the bacon. I know its good and its a distraction but it doesn't answer my question. Take your talk elsewhere. Thanks

^ That's all you need to know. $70 is completely reasonable for an OEM manual.

check fleabay. I picked up a genuine factory service manual for my 1994 olds 88 for15 bucks. I got a cd of the ford manual for 10 bucks for my 97 ranger.

I have a 88 given to me for my 86 the best of my manuals by far.I don't know what your future plans are but one of the problems I have with it it basically doesn't cover the drive train anymore since I put in the 4.0 M50d,Dana 35 newer dash.Think about it if you have any of these kinda plans.Also 75 seems kinda high search E-Bay I have found better deals on there for them.

That's way I haven't shelled out the cash for. I also don't know what is in the future for it. It's another year before I can do any serious upgrades/modifications. The truck is still in the gray area in regards to plans too.
At the moment, I just want to keep it running.
