the slo-vo build thread...


got alot done today, put gas in it and notched a tube :thefinger:
 
im planning on modifying the hinges so i can swap doors in a minute or 2, i like it so much better with the tops off it makes it so much more open

For the record, the stock doors are pretty damn heavy. It's quite the balancing act to get the door lined up such that I can get the pins in (if you choose to use removable pins).

trust me i know all about it, i bolted them back on by myself once without sitting them on anything...wasnt fun

the second time a learned a trick hat made it easier, just need to hit the jy and find another set of hinges

Yeah it sucks. When I pulled them off/put them on at the house, I used to hang em from the engine hoist haha.

I rarely swap em out at the house anymore, most of the time its at the campsite at the park. I'm fairly efficient at it now, but I end up with bruises on my thigh where the doors rest after every time I swap em.

Mine are full of sound deadening material as well, I need to pull that shit out.

yea they arent light by any means, wish i would have got them done sooner...hell its gunna be getting cold before too long
 
lol thats 2 months in a row ive been nominated and didnt know it...im not worried about winning if i do cool if i dont still fine with me there's alot of good rigs in there id choose over mine easy
 
Jon, you ever think about OBA?? If you seal up your tubes, you can use them as an air tank:icon_thumby: I plan to do this with my sliders...

yea i have a tank to do it, dont really think the bed tubes would give me the capacity i want
 
decided to take the kayak down to the ohio and play for a few and see how it would do on top of the truck...did good and had fun
