Drinking and driving is just STUPID!!! Drunk drivers kill more people then cancer!!!!! Don't drink and drive. All it takes is some smarts. Have somebody who does not drink be the driver and then you go out and have fun....no one dies.....'nuff said!!!

I lost my last Ranger to a driver who had a couple drinks and T-boned me. Wait until someone you love is killed...you will feel differently and less sympathetic.

It's kind of a way to weed out the irresponsible people w/ bad habits in our society. Just don't kill someone else in the process.

Alright. i wasnt able to get into the impound lot so i couldnt get a great picture. i had to just stick my hand through the fence and snap a shot. the chunk of meat is shoved into the front edge of the door (the door skin peeled back a little and that is what fileted his leg im assuming).

No, all motor vehicle accidents combined kill only 50,000-60,000/yr

That is however more people than are shot in the US in a given year, but that figuire counts people shot by police.

A couple weeks ago a 71 year old woman in a Blazer pulled out in front of a semi going down the highway. The semi caught it right about dead center on the passenger door and proceeded to shove it into the trucks RH ditch. From the drivers side if you beat the top down it would look fine... passenger side door is about where they center console would have been. Thankfully it was only the driver in the car, and sadly she later died. No alcohol was involved, it must have been a simple mistake on her part.

It is still sitting at the tow yard, it kind of gives me the heeby-jeebies about that hollow cavity in the passenger side... it just looks really sad.


If a drunk driver hits me, for his sake he had better hope he hurts me pretty good...

Never knew, and I agree that it's an awesome movie. What are a couple references? I guess I didn't catch any of them. Then again, I'm from Texas, a far better state than Tennessee!

What I said earlier. Elderly should have a competency exam to drive. It IS sad. People need to learn to respect 18-wheelers more.

It was probably a simple mistake than nobody is immune from.

Also worth noting is that there are NO skidmarks from the truck until right before the impact. Going the way the truck was you can see halfway down the block on the street the car came from, so I think he could have done a little better too.

I thought so. IMO... Suicides, along with Police shootings and self defense shootings shouldn't be added to gun crime statistics.

There is no telling how far that statistic would fall if that were the case.
