Aerostar 4X4

Wow!

GREAT JOB DUDE!

Just take a minute and step back and take it all in! It looks amazing from top to bottom. I wish I had skills to do that myself. Makes me want to take a welding class.

I cannot wait to see daytime pictures of it! The white steel wheels combined with that heavy duty winch bumper really sets it off and finishes it nicely.

hey RB are those tires on right? they almost look like the tread is goin the wrong way, might just be me though. either that is one bad @$$ looking rig. amazing how the bumper really finished it!! your buddy did a great job.

Yeah I was wondering about that too.

impressive how that bumper tied everything together . . . n like everyone said it cleaned it up a lot . . . now what's your plans for the back bumper n sliding door ??

Thanks guy's! It's nice to have the support. If i were to post this on Pirate they would tear it apart. I'm going to try and build a back bumper myself because dave is booked out for weeks right now. If I shim out the door track a 1/4" I think it will open all the way as I can force it open the way it is. If I don't like the tires backwards all I have to do is rotate them left side to right and they will run the correct direction. I've got to work some bugs out of it next. RB

pirate has a bunch of assholes who in many cases have "all show no go" trucks.

I found part of my wiring problems and fixed it. There was a loose wire on the steering column making my reverse lights and wipers inoperable. So down the road I went. The engine still runs crappy at idle which makes no sense as when I bought it it ran great. I must have messed something up but cant think of what. Drives awesome. So we went snow drift busting and all was well. Then we went hill climbing and the breakover angle has much to be desired of but I made it. Then I flexed it out and I need to do some more trimming in the rear and the exhaust does hit the front drive shaft so it will need to go to the exhaust place and get the Y pipe remade. Then I blew the clutch line for the second time so I'm going to have to find a heavier line. It's a very different experience but I had fun. RB

haha thats awsome that you got to wheel it! Always looking forward to more pictures on this project!

How did you blow the clutch line. I did it once but that was because of the exhaust was on it

just switch the back axle, I have seen a bunch of rigs set up that way. back axle tires rotate the correct direction and front tires rotate backasswards. seems to help if ya get stuck goin forwards makes it a little easier to back up or something. :dntknw:

hope you get the bugs worked out, cuz it looks like you got a lot of fun times waitin to happen.

the superlift sticker is a good touch.that way you can say -sure superlift makes a kit for the aerostar when you get asked.
