My idea of a Shelby Ranger if there would have been one.

That would be a lot of work, just the doors alone would be a nightmare.

Couldn't you use a 4 door explorer and just weld the back of a ranger cab to right behind the doors. I mean there would be a lot of :icon_welder:, to extend the frame and mate the cab pieces together. Be easier than fabing it up imo.

If you do it like a real limo, and put a 4 foot extention between the front door and back door, there is going to be ALOT of welding and fab work, the back door would be a killer to make.

It would be alot of work no doubt.. I'm not sure what would be the best way to do it..... I think I would start with a full size frame such as a super duty or something.. I'd say a ranger frame would be too weak streched out... :dunno:

Start with a explorer sport trac for the four door cab. put it on a super duty frame with a diesel. use 3x5 box for frame extension x braced for strenght. section b piller in half to keep door latches and hinges. use 1x1 box or round stock for frame work like building a cage find a second exploder for roof and outer skins so lines will match. Ok I put to much thought on this but it would be cool as it gets. I love to do fab work on anything. I'm a mechanic to pay the bills but plying with my toys is passion. I can't leave anything stock.:yahoo: So lets get building we can send it to all the Ranger Station builders as a group project. Everyone adds their talents for a true mutt.:D

Now that would be cool to get a lot of TRS guys to build one custom Ranger..
I would want to build it like a true Limo like Robert was saying with extentions between the doors.. Man that would be bad ass!

Now we are talking!! That is exactly what I am thinking.. anything less would be a four door and too plain!... Hell to make it even more awsome make it a lifted 4X4 limo! OOOORAH!

:agree::icon_cheers: Then put a big block in it to make it:3gears::clapping:. ok over kill on the icons. but i am ready to start on it

Multi I missed to much, at least it gives me some reading to do.

Multi, real clean truck you have turned out there. Helluva job!

Question, did you have to mod those Cobra R's at all? I have heard rumors that the fronts don't like to fit on Gen1 Rangers without taking some material out of the back of the wheel.

Let me know man, Thanks!

Thanks Bud! My truck is a Gen2 so I have no idea on a Gen1.. The Cobra R wheels I have are fakes and they didn't require any mods at all to fit.. I will say this though The 9" wheels for the front fit perfectly. Take the 10.5 from the rear and put on the front the center cap dosen't stay on.. If anyone can answer Byrd's Gen1 question then please do... I think you may have to add a spacer on the Gen1:dunno:
