New calipers on 9" rear, no more brakes or parking brake.

I just replaced the calipers on a versailles 9" rear, bled them and put on new pads, I tested them, the pedals is still squishy, and the parking brake no longer works.
I had no problems before with the old calipers except they were starting to leak and the parking brake was able to hold the truck under a small load.
Now they won't hold at all.

Anyone familiar with self adjusting calipers with parking brakes? I'm at a loss here...

Also will upgrading to a explorer w/ 4 wheel discs, master cylinder help any?

You do have the calipers on the right sides right? If the bleeders are below the brake hose that is your problem.

bleeders need to point up. thats probably your problem

I ain't that stupid( I did it to my car before haha, had me stumped). They can't be put on the wrong sides anyway.

then try bleeding all 4 brakes and make sure the brake hoses are not bulging

Hoses are all new, bled the front as well. I'm gonna try doing it again this weekend when I have an extra hand, those one man bleeders suck.

You could even just gravity bleed them.

you just said it all... yes the do suck. i don't even bother with them anymore, i just ask someone in the shop to help real quick

I'm also concerned about the parking brake, shouldn't that be pushing out the piston whether its bled properly or not?

Ok, I'm still confused, I'm getting very low pressure from the back, I had my girlfriend pump the brakes and cracking the bleeder is doesn't push out much fluid, the fronts push out a lot of fluid.

Ok, problem solved. These are not self adjusting brakes so the piston needs to be unscrewed to the point where you can just about get the caliper back on the rotor when loaded up.
