Picture diary of a 4X4 RCD to Dixon Brothers LT Conversion

Those are sweet!
When are you going to put them in? Have you decided on where/how you are going to mount the uppers? Are you going to cage the bed? I can't wait to see it next week!

They should be in by Sunday. I am having a local fabricator install a simple bed cage. The idea is that it should tuck around the side and back of the bed. The majority of the bed will remain intact and servicable. I will work out the spare tire mount details later. I am looking forward to the visit as well. Did you decide which vehicle to bring?

I like the idea with the bed. It sounds kind of like what Mike did with his Ford? This way you can still sleep in the truck bed on campouts. I will be bringing down the LandCruiser. Can't wait to take the truck out and flex the suspension!

Bed rack install day 1.

Upper mounts and rack should be complete tomorrow. A rear bumper/tire carrier will be added at a later date. At this point, it appears that bumped and strapped, the rear end should have 19+ inches of travel.

Got the truck back today. Bed rack installed and tire cable flipped so that I can temporarily secure a spare to the back of my bed. Now I need to get some limit straps so that I can go out and field test the suspension.

Or you can call, 480-633-2929

Tell them I, Jason Holmes, sent you.

Sorry to totally plug my own shop but, i thought it might help.

Thanks, for the heads up. I ended up buying some Beard straps locally at Bugs n Buggies. I may end up buying an extra set of SDHQ straps if I decide to double strap the rear end. I like the fact that your straps are quad wrapped. I wish that there was an SDHQ here locally. I have browsed the store a couple of times when I have been in Phoenix.

Unfortunately not. I am trying to figure out how to scrape up a few dollars to get my front end regeared to 4:88 as I want to get my 4X4 back. Once that is done, I will need to get a rear tire carrier/bumper built. Then I will need to do what most people do first - build a proper front bumper with a skid plate. I did pick up a couple of 20mm ammo cans that I plan on using as tool boxes to either side of my spare at the back of the bed. One needs some rehab work but they should work out great.

I have a bolt on rear bumper/tire carrier. Bolts to the last bed bolts and where the tail gate goes, then the tire goes in and a strap holds it. I'm moving to Phoenix soon if you want it.

so is your bedrack still going to work with the rear shocks in i was loving the rack
