My 91 Ranger the stRanger

What happened to the light rack?...I liked it, I love ths truck by the way
Well it was protech light bar and I picked it up for $75 on craigslist. I ran it for about 3 months and kinda got tired of it and kinda needed a bit of cash. So I sold it craigslist for $150 lol. Today I picked up a nice tool box for the back and I kinda wish I had it back there now... oh well I can't complain seeing as how I made $75 off it

Well I got a few things this week. I got the oil changed and rotated/balanced the tires. I also managed to pick up a full size spare mount/balance for $40.

Today I decided to drive out into AR and do some exploring so I set my sights on Lake Winona in the Ouachita N.F.

I put in some clear corners, all new headlight assemblies, and some superbrightleds.com marker and turn signal lights:

Also this week I bought a nice low profile truck tool box to hold some of my stuff.

Thanks for the compliment! I might look into painting my mirrors I never thought of that before.

Today a guy on base offered to trade me his thunderbird for my truck lol. He had a first gen limited exploder as well. I took it as a complient and said no thanks, but I made a new wheeling friend haha

Lookin' good Chris, I miss taking our rigs out! I'm digging the clear corners and the lo-pro tool box too :icon_thumby:

Yeah thanks man! I really miss wheeling with you and Danny thats for sure. Well 3 more years and the truck will be back where it belongs, in the PNW! In the mean time here is another update.

This afternoon after I got off duty I put in the blue leds for the dash, hvac, and installed my new cupholders:

I'm really happy with how the blue leds turned out. They are really nice looking at night and everything is really easy to see, nothing is to dim. I had a few extras so I also turned the signal indicators blue for fun. Here is what I'm most excited about:

OMG actual cupholders!! No more drinks flying out the window or into my lap with my crappy old clip on ones! :yahoo:

Well I finally nutted up today and disconnected the front sway bar. I deleted the rear way long ago. But just went on a 4 mile drive, max speed 35 mph, through town and I did not really notice too much of a difference. Just mostly a bit more wobbly. Im going to test it on the free way soon. But I just want it disconnected because I am taking ol' blue down to superlift ORV park this sat.

I am also still changing my mind everyday about a 4'' sus. lift, 33s and 4.56s. Im sure after this weekend of wheeling I will have my heart set on them lol.

Nice truck. Where did you get the bulbs for your blue led? Looks good. Is that one of those sony ipod decks. I've been wanting to get one. How does it work.

I ordered the blue leds from superbrightleds.com The style of light in the cluster is a 194, so any light that can replace a 194 will work.

Yeah its a sony xplod ipod deck. It works awesome. There is a direct ipod cord that goes into the glove box from the back and hooks into your ipod jack, not the head phone jack. Then you just close it up in your glove box and have direct control with the deck ,and it charges it as well. I have used this style, and the aux. style that goes into the headphone port, and this is way better. I highly recommend it for ipods.

Ok so today me and a buddy went to Super lift offroad park in Hot Springs AR. This was my first time there since I moved here about 2 months ago. Overall it was really awesome. I could do almost every class 3! My truck impressed me today, and stunned a lot of other people. I especially liked seeing the group of jeepers faces when my little Ranger crawled up the obstacle they couldnt make it over, priceless! My buddy had a stock TJ wrangler and could only go up to lvl 2 trails, everywhere else I outperformed him lol. My co pilot really sucked at taking pictures and videos unfortunately. The youtube video I made is just a few clips I salvaged from the crappy footage, he really didn't know where to stand; ever! lol. Oh well. Hope you guys like the pictures, I know they don't seem as extreme or tough in the pics as it really is in real life. I did not get to go about 50% of the trails due to my buddies heep overheating, so I will definitely be back again soon!

Yeah the cup holders are awesome. Thanks for the compliment! It definitely surprises people off road because it not very tall and it only has 31s, but the locker takes it places lol

Hey dude this is one nice truck, I have the exact same thing, except not stx, What year is that cup holder off of I need one too lol. Whats the total amount of lift on there to fit the 31s?

Um not sure exact year on the cup holder, I believe gen 3s is when is stared so 1993 and up? Not 100% sure on that though.

And I have a 2'' body lift to clear the 31'' tires. However in the rear I took out the factory blocks and put in some beltech shackles, so it sits maybe 1 inch lower in the rear but I still clear the tires no problem, and they are tall for 31s.
