Exactly, as I used to say "The machine will always wait for the man."

Get to it whenever you feel up to it, you'll do a better job and have a much happier time doing it. And in the down time you can always come here and hang out with us, it's always a good time:headbang:

mn_ & M M.........thanks for the encouragement....I gotta visit Blake's "temporary" resting place today & my wife wants to put flowers there......sigh......

....no response necessary....I know you guys are saying one for us......

EDIT: on the positive side....we're gonna go there for the 1st time in the '36....he'll like that!

I'm kinda climbing out of the last of a series of sad "holes" I fallen into after visiting my son's "temporary resting place"......same old story....between amnesia, war memories, & my son being killed by an ILLEGAL ALIEN ANIMAL.

Anyhow.....I'm actually gonna make a trip to the metal-yard tomorrow to buy some steel to make the receivers for the front & rear of the Ranger...pics of course!

EDIT: Now that the xmsn has a 3rd gear overdrive pressure switch installed, it'll go as fast at 3,000 rpm in 3rd Over-drive as it goes in 4th at 3,000 rpm with the 4th gear over-drive turned off...(I installed an Over-drive off/on switch for towing boats/chevys & such).....Waaaaaa!

I get it! Towing! There is a method to your madness....

Polonius:
What is the matter, my lord?

Hamlet:
Between who?

Polonius:
I mean, the matter that you speak, my lord.

Hamlet:
Slanders, sir; for the satirical rogue says here that old men
have grey beards, that their faces are wrinkled, their eyes purging
thick amber and plum-tree gum, and that they have a plentiful
lack of wit, together with most weak hams; all which, sir, though
I most powerfully and potently believe, yet I hold it not honesty
to have it thus set down, for yourself, sir, shall grow old as I
am, if like a crab you could go backward.

Polonius:
Though this be madness, yet there is method in it.

(Hamlet Act 2, scene 2, 193–206)

Coyote.........................I was leaning toward "a madness in my method".

Where's those pic I promised.....let me go get them.....

EDIT: I"m back.......imagine thses....these two blocks drilled & bolted to the front rails.....then the torsion bar brackets bolted to the steel blocks......Why?.......because when I lowered the front of the Ranger, the torsion bar was pressed against the tie rods....with the blocks installed, I'll have the needed clearance between the tie rods & the torsion bar...

now......i-magine 2 of those 2" square tubes cut & welded to fit the rear frame as a tow receiver.....

annnnnnnnnnnd i-magine the other two tubes cut & welded to fit the front frame as a towed receiver......

Going by the avatar" Looks... check

Coyote, I think you are possibly the perfect woman.

(I installed an Over-drive off/on switch for towing boats/chevys & such).....Waaaaaa!

I would like to point out the irony of towing chevy's with your reproduction Ford that has a Chevy engine.

I figured a tow hitch on both ends of the truk would really create some heavy IRON-y for most folks.....the chevy comment was just to gas up blackwidow!!!!!!!
