2003 Ford Ranger FX4 Level II

So my future brother-in-law has been thinking about a new truck lately (he does this every 4 months or so because he hasn't had anything he truly loved since his bII he had 3 years and 6 vehicles ago lol) and I found this beauty for him:

Awesome, I know. Right now he drives a 97 f150 ext cab 4x4 with a 4.6, which is in amazing condition for the year. He loves the truck but has missed having a stick ever since the bII.

Basically I need to convince him to buy this fx4 because it is awesome, rare, and everything he wants: stick, decent mileage (for a truck), good power, and 4x4. I also wouldnt mind driving it occasionally

So does anyone have anything comparable and would like to share info? Like mileage numbers, power output and reliability of the newer 4.0s, trail abilities, etc. Miles are a tad high for a 03, but I ran the kbb on it and the asking price comes out a little under.

I would totally get it if I had the money and knew where it was. But I would prefer the Deep blue color...

I'd say its a good deal, you could expect to get about 20 hwy and 16 city I would imagine. Power should be decent compare to the 4.6L. and the twin sticks is going to be really nice.

So that's where all the twin stick FX4's are hiding. Only 02-03 FX4 Lvl II's w/ 5-speed's got manual t-cases. At those prices, i'd have one or the other in a heart beat!
