Hi. This is the newbie place for introductions, right? Well I said hello and tried to introduce myself, but Mod says I was “discussing religion” ??? and told me to post in the “tailgate forum.” Anybody know where that is? I looked through all the forums and could not seem to find it.

I came here to see if I will spend the next several years returning to the gearhead life of my youth; you know, emptying out the junk from the workshop and making room for a Ranger project. I spent the last month doing research....looking at projects for sale.... reading build threads.....you know, getting to know you guys before I joined..

I spilled my guts here. The problem is that I felt uncomfortable with some of what I was reading (blatant politics, disrespect of women, etc) and said so. BIG MISTAKE! I started a hot thread that the mods quickly killed!

Well, anyways, thanks Ranger Station for helping me to decide NOT to buy that Mig welder, NOT to take that first step towards returning to a more materialistic life of working on car and truck projects ....seems like that part of my life belongs back when I was less mature; didn't know how to spell or write properly; and was much less politically aware of, for example, women's issues.

Sorry boys, but it seems like you can never go home. When I saw my old flame again, she was besotted and crude and couldn't seem to understand anything I wanted to talk about, so......it's goodbye.
:sorrysign:

Coyote, welcome. People are always going to see things differently. We all see through our own eyes, everyones experience is their own. If you have a project your passionate about, I say see it to the end.

Just need to keep it business and you will be good. This is a Ranger information site with a lot of good smart people, get advise, post your progress, and share information pertaining to stuff you've done that's RBV related and you will fit in just fine. Just try your best to ignore the non-sense.

honestly your original introduction thread was quite a troll post. and was imho offensive. especially to the gun toting Americans.

the tailgate is where you can discuss all that stuff basically anything since it is hidden from view so people cannot read it that are just browsing the site. you have to go to your profile and select the tailgate to be viewed. but i think you will get flamed much more basically because bdab got banned people are quite upset about that.

You stated twice "Maybe I don't belong here"...:icon_idea:

Sounds to me like you are starting drama on purpose, I'm not surprised at all that your thread was closed.

Small minded republicans and gun toting southern americans? Blind patriotism? Really?

Ignorance is bliss right?

I can only imagine this one will get closed as well...maybe I should have taken a spot as a mod..

I know responding here is what he wants, but....
I have been on this site for a little while now, mainly because I have a lot of free time on my hands. I post because I am bored and working on a vehicle, so I may as well get some info. I would guess that most guys here probably think I am somewhat of a dumbass because I will spout off and post some, well, stupid posts. I get along with some, and some I don't much care for at all. But NEVER does ANYTHING on this forum, or others, determine whether or not I am going to work on my truck or any other hobby I may have related to it. I work on it because I enjoy it, not because JohnnyBob dislikes my posts, and my dislike of JohnnyBob certainly isn't going to make me put my project away. That's just stupid.

Coyote: im not going to lie but when i started on this site it was a much better place than it is now, some and most users on here need a punch in the teeth, unfortunatly the law and distance prevents it, i however do agree with you, i'm starting to see users going over to other sites more and more, and i may very well do the same, as i do not care for the atmosphere of this site as much nowdays, so belive me its not just you getting sick of the crap on the site they used to love.

I have to disagree with you Dustin.........this site gets better by the day!
I have tried the rest and always came back here and here is where I'll stay.

For a first post he came on a little strong...........It wasn't your basic "Hey guys! I'm Fred from Armpit Arkansas!" Into kinda post.

Maybe try not trolling next time.
Heh...

My name is Fred and I'm from armpit Arkansas, I take issue with your condescending view of my heritage and it would be offensive if it wasn't right LOL. Sorry, my name isn't really Fred, it's Scott...:icon_rofl:

You won't be missed. I'm glad the neiborhood troll is leaving so quick!

chill a bit man... we dont need a banned Sport Ranger member
