Hi. This is the newbie place for introductions, right? Well I said hello and tried to introduce myself, but Mod says I was “discussing religion” ??? and told me to post in the “tailgate forum.” Anybody know where that is? I looked through all the forums and could not seem to find it.
I came here to see if I will spend the next several years returning to the gearhead life of my youth; you know, emptying out the junk from the workshop and making room for a Ranger project. I spent the last month doing research....looking at projects for sale.... reading build threads.....you know, getting to know you guys before I joined..
I spilled my guts here. The problem is that I felt uncomfortable with some of what I was reading (blatant politics, disrespect of women, etc) and said so. BIG MISTAKE! I started a hot thread that the mods quickly killed!
Well, anyways, thanks Ranger Station for helping me to decide NOT to buy that Mig welder, NOT to take that first step towards returning to a more materialistic life of working on car and truck projects ....seems like that part of my life belongs back when I was less mature; didn't know how to spell or write properly; and was much less politically aware of, for example, women's issues.
Sorry boys, but it seems like you can never go home. When I saw my old flame again, she was besotted and crude and couldn't seem to understand anything I wanted to talk about, so......it's goodbye.
