ok, so.
finally got goin on the bumper. bought 10' of 2"x8"x1/4" rectangular tubing, 10' 2"diameter tube 1/8" thick. $160 in materials.
main run across the front is 4' of 2x8. we used a setaline torch to channel out the back to cut down on weight. on the ends of that are 2x8 sections 12" long angled at 35 degrees. and on those ends are 8" 2x8 sections turned back at a 90 degree angle to the main run and then capped off. we ran out of time last night so we made shitty temp brackets out of scraps and mounted it to make the truck legal.
next step is the up tubes. 2" tube coming up 14" at 45 degrees and then a 18" horizontal bridge in between them to form a grill guard and house my after market spots. build and completed pictures will be up in a couple days.

Tony314 if ur still interested let me kno. i talked to my buddy helpin me and he's up for it. i think we could do it for around $300, maybe less but thats up to him

i like it but thats my oppinion. id like some input from others too, but please if you wanna be a dick keep into consideration that two 18 year olds fabricated this after school working 3 hours a day for 3 days.

hey that looks pretty good. im currently working on a model in solidworks for a bumper for my 89 out of 1.5 square tubing. good looking bumper for a couple of damn kids lol jk (Im 19 and a freshmen in college)

the mounting isnt finalized yet, i just gotta wait till i have the $ to buy enuff diamond plate to enclose the top. and the final mounting brakets will suck it back closer and higher

I agree looks good the gap needs attention and pull it in and are going to mount winch on if not then find some kind of rubber to put on it so if you need to you can push with it

Good work, looks solid.

Does look good and solid, but I think it'd look better on an earlier year. Something with a boxier front.

Hey its a first gen bumber give him a break he will look at it and say hmmmmm why dont I cut it here and shape here It will come to him I like it for the first bumber hes made keep up the good work and keep trying diffrent things the only person you have to make happy is you
