I've been having intermittent squealing problems. So I put a belt on it, nothing. :icon_confused: Replaced the pulleys and check all the accessorys, nothing. Wonderful. Then I notice it's coming from the back of the motor. Yep, synchronizer. Wonderful. Then I decide to check the oil on the dipstick, it's non existant. It was two quarts atleast low. Truck never threw a light, let alone did I expect it to disappear that fast. On top of it shifting funny and having some weird brake gremlin. I don't know whether I should just yank the motor and trans out, redo it all, or sell it and buy something else. This is annoying

Does it leak everywhere you park it? If so join the club. I check my level every fill up. Needing to pull the engine and put all new seals in it is just a part of having an older truck.

It doesn't leave spots anywhere. Thats the kicker. I'd notice walking up to it if there was a puddle. I like having a truck for sure, but it's annoying. Really need to yank the shit out and redo it all

checking fluids and tyre pressures on a regular basis is part of being a responsible driver.

I'm busy as hell. I work for a car dealership. I keep up with them, but the last thing I expected was for it to loose 2-3 quarts in 3 weeks lol.

LOL. I picked up a dorman synchronizer. 95 rangers don't list one except here at ford, but those are obsolote. Move up to a 96+ and it shows up where I can order them. I ordered a ford to have tomorrow to look at. The Dorman is sitting right here in front of me. However it feels cheap and research shows that they fall apart in little to no time. I'm a fan of doing it right the first time, not hoping this fixes it for a little while.

I can't stand oil leaks. I think I have already replaced every oil seal except the oil pan's. But at least the engine doesn't drink oil, stays full, even after 5k miles on it.
