Welp...i hope my little ranger has about 9 lives, cuz she is totalled now!
pics and walk afround video just after the wreck to come today anfter i go to the j-yard and get some more pics and find out how bad shes hurt mechanicaly..

SO HERE IS WHAT HAPPEND!!

im leaving advance auto with a new set of 8 plugs and wires, pull out onto the main highway thru town(im in the fast lane as i turned left out of advance)...so left lane main highway speed limmit..45...just put my spit cup back into the cup holder was rasing my hand to shift into 4th as i saw the light up ahead wasnt going to change yellow or red(light was about 150yards infront of me)but coming the opposite way was a red 2door saturn ion...woman driver...waiting in the turning lane to turn left(we were traveling in opposite directions...i PLANNED ON GOING STRAIGHT THRU THE LIGHT!!!!unfourtunatley never even made it close to it...the lady must not have seen my LITTLE BROWN TRUCK WITH THE HEAD LIGHTS ON!!!about 80-100 feet away driveng 45 coming towards her, and decide to go ahead and make her turn....all i could do was hit the brakes and hold on for dear life..plowed right into her..made for a perfect t-bone...the impact threw my truck halway into the slow lane and the car about 2 car lengths behind side swiped me a bit,,,,,(just cosemetics) but from what i saw after i got out i was almost in tears!my hood was crupmled up and the grille busted along withe some of the lights...bumper was in a w shape as it was bent around the frame rails, dont know how bad the motor is hurt or if it will even fire up..no leakage from the rad that i could tell but it had been rainging a good bit and the roads where wet so i couldnt really tell....no broken glass...even after my head bounced ot the windsheild...going to the tow/j-yard here in a few hours to take a better look and get more pics to post up for u guys!!!

well that bought sucks dont it? Hope its just going to need a new hood and some new used fenders....and a bumper from the sound of it. Did your new spark plugs survive?

yeah...they r fine....im just really angry cuz ive only had the truck a few months and went all the way to texas to get it, its been a damn good truck, taken everything ive thrown at it in stride and just kept begging for more

Well hopefully it didn't do any real damage to the drivetrain or frame and you can spruce her back up with some external sheetmetal and a paint job and have her back.

i really hope so...i dont know if the motor shut off on impact or not..but i remember letting my foot of the clutch with it in 3rd still and it didnt even shake rattle or roll...so idk...im waiting for the insurance company to call me and tell me they r gunna give me what its worth!!!!which is really gunna piss me off, cuz right now im out of work and dont have the money really to fix it myself..and my powerstroke gets about 10mpg right now, so i hate to have to drive it now

sounds like you have my luck, back when i got my 93 i had a woman pull out in front of to turn left and didnt see due to one ton high beams. hit her off center front brakes locked up and skidded to the right, hell the cop said i should hav been in the ditch as my wheel was maxed lol. 25 mph impact on the trk busted my grille now made of chicken wire, bent my bumper back a hair, busted the headlight mount still floppin a lil, and new turn signal lens...the 93 buick skylark had the bumper shoved to the back glass totalled, hit if between the frame rails (lucky me...) wound up being a lawsuit for 7 mos a rental car paid for and 10 grand from the ins company. they upped my insurance from 420 to 1780 every six months with allstate. needless to say i switched to aig for 515 as the wreck never made it to my record since i was a distinguished public servant in the community (helped with the volunteer fire dept since i was 15 and officially became a junior member at 17...) and my college instructor knew the da. well heres the question on the truck b4 i go look at the pics, how good are you with fiberglass? weight reduction in the future maybe? along with new lights assuming your radiator is good? worst case i can see to be honest is your evaporator core for your a/c is skrewd. its nicely placed in front of the radiator to take most of the damage, worst thing you might encounter is no a/c, which in january isnt much of a problem...

hell i just looked at the pics you got off lucky, and by far shes not on her last leg, thats the evaporator core i was telling you about that took the damage. your door frame and the cab is a lil fkd along with the front cap. to be honest id go with a new front cap and maybe a cab from somewhere and door and drive the hell out of it. my truck that i drive daily is pretty close to that level of damage and she steers in a straight line to this day.

I'm sorry man that really sucks. And the really bad thing is the insurance company will probably try to get out of it saying it was your fault as its your frontend. I had the same thing happen to me in the school parkinglot. I was going through the parking lot following this girl, then she went to the left at the v in the lot... then she saw a spot all the way in my side of the lot... shot through open spots popped out right infront of me and stopped when I flashed on my lights. and she relized she did something stupid. i hit her and bent her fender and broke an axle shaft. I got a bent bumper and crippled fender on one side. insurance said it was my fault.

Anyways I hope your truck doesn't get totalled. even if it does its not that bad and you can get a reconstruction title and get the parts you need at the JY

well...idk about the a/c and all that bullshit, but ill tell you this...the back of the rad has about a 3inch hole in it from where it was pushed back so far it hit my fan and was punctuered...flipped the impact switch and she fired right up,,,no spits, no shutter nor sputter..drove her maybe a mile up the road to my cuzins place...waiting to tow her over to a local F u C k me shop and see how bad its gunna hurt...other than a new radiator...its only cosemetic bull!! the frame rails are bent by a good bit though

well the officer had predetermined it was her fualt after talking to about 3 or 4 people who saw it happen...so im good there, just as long as the f u c k i n bastards dont try to screw me over on fixin it ill be just peachy!!

id change the radiator myself got one at the local autozoo for 160 bux (when your power steering pump pulley install tool breaks the wrench magically breaks the surge tank on the radiator where the hose goes on it...) the rest of the body i would find at the jy for pennies on the dollar and at most have it painted. if it really bend the framerails that is a major issue but looks more cosmetic than serious damage.

well..up close if you look behind the bumper you can see the frame rail comin out at about a 20 degree angle....its pretty bent up...but she drove fine for about the mile i ran to my cuzins place..didnt pull to one side...no vibes(i was only idleing in 4th doing about 35 to keep it as cold as possible as the was no rad fluid!!)clutch and drivetrain seem to be in good order..will have to tear into the engine bay when i tow it home(10 mile, start-stop trip thu town)but honestly if i get it fixed im gunna put a 5/16th plate steel bumper on the front of that bitch so i dont bust another rad...i have a full 1/2 inch plate/pipe(aka tank pusher) on my powerstroke and hit a 8ich diamater cedar tree doing 20 in 4 low and plowed staight into it full bore..............almost split though the tree...didnt even dent or bend nething on the truck..

lol...you paying????cuz i know that bitches insurance is gunna bend me over a pool table and shove a broomstick so far up my asz i cant breathe...kbb was 1600...if the want to total it out...ill be luck to get 1k...but see....thats where i have an ace up my sleeve....u see....i just happen to have a good family freind....who.....knows a lil thing or two about insurance company.....guess what he does for a living.......give up???....LAWYER!!!!!they offer me anything less than 1500....im walkin and tellin em....kma white boy....its gunna take more than that to fix it or find sumthin as good as it was, so unless you want to hear from my attourney in about....oh...ill give you an hour....better ante up boys!!!!you know my number and ill be waiting....or i can tell them that i have a slight back problem now(which could be proven as my back is fubar) and tell em that i could just take a ride over to the hospitolin one of those nice big white meat wagons, and let them pay for AAALLLLLL my bills!
