Here's my new setup haha, I'm getting a punch amp here soon, hopefully a p400, and probably by the end of next week I'm going to have an eD sdq10 in that box haha. Gonna tidy up the wires here soon when I feel like it. Haha.

my old set up in the 98 i used to have, 2 12" kicker CVR's powered by a kenwood 1000watt 2 channel amp

yeah really took my time making the box to make sure it fit perfect back there, fit snug against all contours in the back and just behind the seat belt mounts, plus it sounded great, now its time to put a better system in my new 97! :headbang: that old system only had 500 watt rms total, new system should be 700+ watt rms:icon_hornsup: all for about the same cost as the old system too, man it makes such a difference when you actuallly understand how to properly set things up haha

my 2c i would leave them sealed. 8's wont go as low as bigger subs go. there more for punch, and the alum cone wont really transmit vibrations very well just due to being ridged. you could tune them in a ported box, that will give you the best over all sound, but there 8's, there gonna be best in the mid range, so its a lot money for lil gain. id try and find the specs and make the smallest box, maybe add some stuffing. and let them thump :headbang:

I have a 8" Kicker L7 in a ported box that I made and tuned, and it easily was twice as loud, hit just as low, and sounded cleaner than the 2 12" Rockfords it replaced.
