I used to think the same thing. I'd probably be alright, between side jobs, my job now, and investing and moving money around. I'm good at it. However, There is absolutely no way you can secure a job that requires a college degree, without actually having the degree. Unless you have 3-4 years of experience in that field, you won't even be considered. It USED to be all about who you knew, but it's not anymore. It's all about what you know.
Granted I am now working on my engineering degree but they would not even give me a look. At least in the military you even your rank and position. Rant over.
