Just Plain Stupied

Mn_........thanks for the support.....Just don't choke em.....LOL.....

Leave the Vengeance part of it up to God...........

true that everybody gets judged in the end.

now for a truck related question?
being its a tight fit will the engine be running hotter then normal with the less room for air flow? does that make sense?

if his fan and radiator are up to snuff, no, it shouldnt run hotter than 195.

but seeing as he used the stock 2.9 rad. cooling in the summer might be a problem.

but only time will tell.

THIS PROJECT IS JUST PLAIN STUPIED :icon_thumby:

actually......the engine compartment is 2 feet narrower (Waaaaahahahahhaha) at the grill....which will cause the grill to act like a venturi as the air passes thru it.....around the engine & exits under the xmsn.

Also.....when no one wuz looking.....I put a streetrod radiator in the '36.....and put the OEM Ranger radiator on the test stand.....Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Annnnnnnd.....I put an 185* thermostat in the SBC to make the oil hold up better (i don't plan on frying any fish, so why use a 195* or higher thermostat----with a mini-cat on each side the gases will get fried enuff to pass the emissions tests......Waaaaaa

Also gots a xmsn cooler.....Waaa x's 2

Think you can sqeeze a 454 under the hood?:icon_rofl::icon_bounceblue:

Sure......I could put one in sideways......but still wouldn't get it to fit between the framerails....LOL

Seriously....I don't know the dimensions on a 454 with headers.....there's a couple members that have all those facts memorized though.....

F.Y.I. On MY '36 Ranger.......

I had 1" to spare from the firewall to the dist..........

3" from the radiator fins to the waterpump pulley-bolts......

1" total to spare between the headers/framerails when the 350 was set in place using 1993 OEM engine mounts.....

I could have used solid engine mounts and lowered the engine....let me go check.......2.5" more....but the dist still would only go rearward another inch, then hit the firewall.......

Next time I go to New Orleans, I want to hear it run
