I've always been a ranger guy, but a couple of years ago I switched from a Ford tech to the lone Mazda tech at my dealership. Just about every time I talk to our Reps I ask about the fate of the doomed B-series. For the last year the only "brand new" B trucks that rolled off were fleet trucks (2 wheel drive 4 cylinders). It's actually kind of sad. But every now and then some crazy guy rolls in and I get to tear into an old carb or somthing on a true B-truck.

Fact of the day-They actually put a Rotary engine in the B series waaaaaay back in the day.

Back in the day, my HS buddy had one RX-2 (I think).

That Wankel was loud as heck, particularly with no muffler.

I had a '68 ranger F-250.

...I doubt they'll bring back any kind of Mazda truck here. They were good for what they were back then- total lightweight trucks. That doesn't sell here anymore, despite the recent "fuel crisis".

If they did, bring back the Rotary...

A rotary engine is a terrible choice for a truck. They make great HP wound out, but poor torque.
