what does everyone do for a living!

Well for now I am a maintenance man at a state park about five minutes from where I live, my actual title is Natural Resource Specialist (NRS), it's just a job for now while I am in school, I am going to college for Wildlife Management, some day I hope to be a Wildlife Tech. for the Division of Wildlife.

I'm a graduate assistant at the University of Akron, working on my MS in Applied Mathematics. I teach a section of Calc I for free tuition and pocket change.

I'm an editor at a research company. We send out tons of proposals for government research money so I am often chained to my computer for LONG periods of time. But I work with a bunch of very smart people (chemists, engineers, scientists) who are a lot of fun. And Colorado is the best place to live - sorry if you aren't so lucky! :icon_cheers:

I work at....

Any work is honorable work as far as I'm concerned, especially when there are many lazy folks who won't separate their asses from the sofa cushions and earn an honest dollar.

Sorry. I drive a 48' bulk petroleum tanker around permitted to 107k pounds while using the selectable tag axle. Usually towed by various Mack's or Volvo's ranging in year from 2000 to 2010 depending on how much the dispatchers like my slip-seating ass. All the older trucks are being phased out for new Volvo daycabs with the D16 engine. Mmmmmmmm/

I've worked on my family's farm farming all of my life and working on tractors, combines, cotton pickers, high cycles, primers, trucks and everything else that gets broken w/my brothers and father (we do our own fixin'). Right now I am acquiring a machining degree from a community college and some engineering classes. Sometimes I get really tired......:icon_thumby:

I hope school works out man! I have a Masters in History with a minor in political science. I drive a truck. LMAO. I do love the job though so it's all good.

Bringin' it back from the dead..

I'm a Parts Sales Specialist for an industrial pump company. I work at a desk ALLLLLLLL DAAAAYYY. Spend plenty of time on here too :D

I also help out when needed in our shipping department, general maintenance when needed, Small IT jobs, decal design and general order entry. But the heart of my job and a good 80% of it is the as a parts specialist. I love it now that I've been spending more and more time at my desk as opposed to doing that other crap.

I was fortunate enough to have work pay for me to go to school for welding. I did a very well rounded course doing all different processes of welding, blue print reading welding "therory" if you will...It wasnt just a "heres a torch and some coupons...start messing with it" kind of course. I kind of wish that I pursued this instead of the desk job but I've got 5 yrs exp in sales + its just very convenient knowing that I can leave at 5pm everyday. Especially with a son on the way!
