how hard is it to get a 93 tranny in a 97

i have a 93 and a 97 both 4.0 both manual and 4x4 the 97 is ready to go except tranny but the wiring doesent match up to the t case or the tranny so do these sensors and crap swap over from a 97 tranny cause if i just need to cut and crimp some wires or do i need to find a bunch of 97 tranny parts to put on my tranny

What Wires?

There a reverse light switch on the '97 trans but the trans harness
will include the wires for the '97's Cat monitor.

The 1993 trans will have a sensor that's MISSING on the '97 trans
you can ignore it or you can swap over the top cover of the trans.

Just make sure the both transmissions are in neutral before you remove the top covers.

opps i actually only have the 93 tranny its just that the 97 is also setup for a manual but the 97 has no tranny or t case so i have no 97 tranny parts

umm there a harness plug that way different under the 97 for hooking in the t case and isthe speed sensor the same?

The 97 speed sensor is somewhere in the brake system (ABS?) i believe. The 93 sensor plugs into the T-case. Somehow you are going to have to plug that hole, perhaps cut off the speedo cable at the sensor and leave it in there? The oil in the T-case can come right out of there or crap will fall in there if you dont.

You just need a VSS to shove in the hole in the 1993 T-case.
