I have stock gearing in my 92 2.3 ranger. I want to change the gears to give me more bottom end power. I have no idea where to look or what to get
There's no way it was doing anything close to 4500 RPMs at 75MPH...I've got a '95 2.3L 4x4 5spd, that came with 4.10's from the factory. It called for 215/75-15's for the stock size, it had 235's on it when I bought it, so thats what I was used to driving it with, and I replaced the 235's with 30x9.5's those seemed to dog it down a little when you let the clutch out, but once you got moving it was ok, but on the highway doing 70-75 it was singing a nasty 4500 rpm's. Needless to say, it liked the gas stations.
