I wouldn't call 2800 RPM screaming.. Remember, unless your speedo was corrected, you were going faster than 70-75MPH too.

That is true, I never di have it corrected, but it couldn't have been too far off, because I would pass cops doing radar on 65mph roads with the speedo saying 75, and I never got pulled over. And all of those speed trap things I would drive through when I was in a small town (30mph speed limits), my speedo would always say 30, but the radar would always say like 25-27 somewhere in there. That I do remember clearly.
