This just started today and has me concerned.

While driving the transmission revs too high, and doesn't shift the gears properly like it's done for the last four years...I checked the fluid level and it is topped up...looked a bit darker than usual, but it does not otherwise seem odd...

The only other problem I've been having is the starter is going...but I didn't think it was related...I have had to rap on the starter to get it working but I hope to have that changed this week...

But the tranny was working fine...I did a google search and didn't find anything on it other than it may be the PCM (whatever that is) or low fluids...and there was something about the shift linkage being loose but I haven't crawled under it to have a look...wanted to get some input first...

Thanks in advance...

Edit:

OK, never mind...I figured it out...

While I was stabbing my fat hand into the area to whack the starter I dislodged a vac hose that goes to the transmission...problem solved...

lol...glad to hear you got it fixed. I pulled the line off of the vacuum modulator one time by accident too.

Good for you!

Now we now what to look for if we have those symptoms on our Suzuki's..........:D

I have no idea, I forgot what to do with auto trannys since I've been driving standard...but now that I think about it something similar happened on my Ford Galaxie that my Dad figured out...but that was about 37 years ago...:)

I thought there were a few Suzuki owners on TRS so I was hoping someone else might have an idea...the Haynes manual doesn't even go there and simply refers you to go to an authorized repair center...
