Do what I do, wait till things go on sale and do all the work yourself. The only thing I didn't do is paint (sent to a body shop) and sewing the visor back after putting the back plate inside.

And I'm cheap, I finally got around to changing my 8-year old Kenwood.

Installing ain't rocket science, anyone can do it.

Well my only problem is that I just dropped 300 in my ranger for a jvc head unit and a 6x9 pair of kenwoods for the front and I'm trynna get a set of nitto tires and my turbo I don't have the money. XD I mean, I can do the installig and if I can't my dad can lol, and I love how that alpine looks man.

how do you like your alpine HU, i was looking at that one...but i went with a new kenwood. i have a draw to being the first person in the state to own something.

I have not used CD's since I got my first iPod interface back in 05, so this is a good unit for me.

I would not recommend this unit for most people. I would have liked to have both the Full Speed Ipod Capability and USB capability. But the iDA-X303 can only access the iPod through the USB. Alpine Messed Up.

Sound Quality is really good, iPod control is really good. Overall, this is a really good unit. I like it.

I did my truck a little at a time. What you see took a few years to do. I understand the money thing, I was going to and paying for college and building my truck. Money has always been tight. The only things that were bought new was the woofer, the two screens and one of the Kenwood amps. A Polk Audio Rep sold me the rest of the speakers really cheap, if I agreed to compete in SQ competitions with my truck (I did and won alot and I have the throphies to prove it). Take your time, have fun, and build it.
