hey i have a 94 2wd 2.3 single cab ranger bond stock. i was going to go oversize tires but was wondering where the rubbing happens with them? i was planning on getting a set of 6 inch fiberglass fenders from mcneil racing and was hopping i could go bigger as a result? sorry in a newbe for sure. by the way im running 235 60 15's now but wanted to go to a 255 75 15 or a 245 75 15. by the way what is the middle number for in the tire sizes? like going from a 60 to a 70? thanks in advanced!

Without a lift 31's will hit almost everywhere on the front, the entire fender lip, swaybar and radius arms. Glass fenders may get rid of the fender prob but not the rest. Even with 5.5" lift my 94 still hits sway and radius. Rim width makes a difference too.

With 15x8s and 3.75 back spacing, my 33x12.5s rub on my radius arms. They rubbed on the rear of the fender as well, but I moved the axle forward about 3/8".

The middle number in metric tire sizes is the aspect ration. The first is the tread width in millimeters, so in your case, 235mm. The second number means that each sidewall is 60% of 235mm. You can convert this to inches ( around 6 or so) and multiply it by 2. So the actual standard measurement of your tires is about 27 inches.

not 100% sure on this but i think the middle number is the height of the sidewall in relation to the width of the tire. So the 245 75 15, im pretty sure each sidewall is 75% of the 245.
