Tweeters with built in crossovers

At my local pawn shop there are some brand new tweeters that have built in crossovers. How would i hook these up? I only have door speakers hooked up, as i had to take the back ones out to make room for my subs. I have a VR3 radio, 180 watts.

should hook rite up to the power in to the speaker just run wire from your speaker to your tweeter

you have to look at the rms watts requirement for the set up, if its too "off" the system can become self destructive.

I forgot that the back speakers wont play, because i have the amp plugged into the sub output on the radio. I guess i would have to splice into the front speakers. Would that work? Monday i will stop by and look at the RMS requirements for the tweeters.

ok first you should still have rear L R channels on your HU, if you pluged into to RCA sub out put. you just dont have rear speakers in the back to play,

second, your way speakers all ready have "tweeters" built in thats why there the 4 in 4 way. the other three are just tweeters.

third, you can bring the rear channels up to the 4ways and have the front run the tweeters. but to be honest you cant fully power the the 4 ways adding more draw may not help you. and if you install the tweeters youll set up will have 8 tweeters, two speakers and a sub. thats not a very balanced sound

There are 2 different outputs where i can plug the amp up, the other one that i plugged in, the front speakers didnt work, but my subs had treble. My friend says that it just has to do with my radio. Its a VR3.

do you have three sets of rcas front rear and sub?

your subs having treble is becasue you dont have the LPF set on your amp.

There are only 2 places where i can plug up the amp on my radio. One is for sub out, and i forgot the other one.

The 2 outputs on the back are Sub W out and RCA.

with out seeing it, i wanna say your head unit is able to run twin amps. the sub out should not mess with the front or rear speakers, so you should be able to run all 4 channels , and you can just run them to the front.
