need a 12v wire to tap onto

I need a wire that will supply 12v when the truck is on to trip the relay so my efan comes on. So it doesn't need to be high amp or anything just close or in the fuse box.

Just use a test light and poke around the in the fise box while turning the key to the on position to find a 12v ignition source then tap into it.

That's what I was going to do until I realized all of them still had a 12v constant with everything turned off.

If you can get at the back of your stereo you could grab the power antennae wire.

Did you check the empty slots in the fuse box as well? There should be some that are switched power.

Why not just run 12v constant? The engine will continue to heat up when off anyways. This will allow your fan to kick on to keep it cool.

I run a Blue Sea box from the main and use it to run branch circuits from. I hate working on vehicles that have hacked up wiring.
