Never seen chain handles before. Creative. Gonna paint them or prevent the, from rusting further?

Your rig looks familiar mine runs the same colors inside i'm looking for A front bumper design but with A winch the reciever is good but winches are 92 pounds and Carrying one in the snow sounds terrible.Cut your aluminum diamond plate with A skill saw and A carbide blade.Dos'nt sound right but you'll never go back.the chains look cool but very annoying Rattling down some dirt road the smooth panels look good I really like those

thanks for the tip with the skill saw that grinder was terrible at cutting the diamond plate. hopefully i dont have to cut anymore anytim soon. i also thought about the chains but if there are not too bad ill leave them but if not ill well them up except the last link on each side so it can piviot.
nice fab what's the wall thickness on the bumper?
as for the im not quite sure the wall thickness:icon_confused: i never really understud the measurements that people post on here, if you want i can post up a pic if i can find some extra laying around.

aw dont worry about it. it looks like pretty small tubing but i'm it is strong if you are using. you will find out if you hit a tree i guess!

yea hopefully i wont be hitting any trees:icon_thumby:

i got the exhaust all welded up and got the hangers welded and its all together. just need to get that paint.

wall thickness is just the thickness of the metal that makes the tubing. Tubing is measured by outside measurement (or diameter if round) and wall thickness, so 1.5"x.120 wall round tubing has an outside diameter of 1.5" and the thickness of the metal itself is .120".

The chain handles look pretty cool, i like em. Do they hang loose or are you going to weld the links together? I would think they might rattle pretty bad if they hang loose but might be wrong :D

And if you havent, invest in an oxygen/acetylene cutting torch system. I used to cut plate with a cutoff wheel like that and hated it. With the torch its 10 times faster and WAY less work. Your cuts will look like crap at first but once you get it figured out you can make em look just as good as a plasma cutter :icon_welder:

Looking really sweet man. Gonna be bad ass when you are done!

well thanks for clearing that up i always wonder that.

i was thinking about welding up the chain links but i figured if they make enought noise that i was going to weld the links and get a beefyboy magnet to hold them down:icon_idea:

yea i never thought about that but i think there pretty secure the back half sits between the seat and door so i think that will help prevent bruised elbows:beer:

well not much of an update but i finally got around to picking up the paint for everything i think 4 cans is good. I also did some oil clean up that was fun:annoyed: but i did make a nice addition to my work space with adding a work bench with a tin overhang:icon_twisted:
