Wiper Linkage

Ok, so the other day my passenger side wiper arm under the cowl came off of the linkage. I can get it back on the linkage, but it falls back off. Is there supposed to be a retaining clip or grommet that goes on behind it to keep them on? I haven't had a chance to look at my brother's ranger, so any help would be appreciated. It's an 88.

sounds like the plastic ball cup is worn out and you need a new linkage for that side.

so are they just supposed to pop on requiring no clips? I still haven't been able to find a micro to look at either.

I finally found an installation thing. It is showing a clip

Edit: Clip must have popped off so it's missing. I'll scrounge one up at the junkyard tomorrow.

At the motor there is a cilp at the actual wiper end there is not.

There is one on the linkage. My driverside has one as well as my brother's ranger. It's an E clip with a tab on it.

Man it's been a while since I've been on the new site. I about forgot about this place.
