It’s not as nice as some thing lol I appreciate the vote of confidence. Yes I have plenty of room for the engine, drive accessories “what little there are” and yes I opted to run the xj rad forward the rad support behind the stock grill. It’s all honestly packaged pretty good in there I will say … despite everyone on the internet claiming this is impossible without relocating the firewall or mounting the radiator in the bed.

Nothing is truly impossible. There’s always a way to solve a problem. That actually worked out better than I expected seeing. It initially looked like grill fit may have been a big problem but apparently not. I’ve toyed with the idea of trying to do a 4.9 swap at some point just because I’ve been tired for years of people starting them and never finishing because they can’t figure out how to deal with the massive length of the thing. Currently I need to get a few projects finished and out of the way before I can seriously consider the idea of a 4.9 swap into a Ranger, but it’s definitely been a thought on my radar for awhile. I really love the 4.9 in my F-150. Not fast, but a tank.

Yeah I’ve got years of mulling over this swap in my head 8 yrs I’ve thought almost daily about doing this swap. Never been much of a v8 guy and they just never seemed to work out anyways so here we are laying in the driveway with basic hand tools a welder and determination making a 8 plan come to reality. Been at it for a almost 2 months to the day working couple hours almost every night and a day or two on the weekends lol can only get so much done during night time and then I’m in town so can’t be too noisy these days but getting it done. Gotta get my parts truck cut up so I can roll the Dana 30 under mine and get it back on the ground and lock my 32s and see if I’m keeping it on 32s or jumping to 33-35 none the less I guess I need to start a build thread in here.

I get this. I have a decent selection of tools these days, but only last year I upgraded to having a workbench and a space to call a workshop (8’x8’ tarp shed) and a lot of this year has gone to enlarging the shop space (8.5’x12’ with a 3’ overhang on the front). My toys have all largely been built by sitting on the ground playing Captain Cave Pig.

Took me three years of the exact same thing to weld patches on the shock towers of my mustang. I derailed rebuilding the engine and suspension, but eventually it got done.

Yeah…. It be like that while we’re here gets dangerous! I’ve still got a lot to do! I’m just trying to knock out the big fan projects before snow flys and get it back on all 4 tires again. I’ve set it all up so forcing myself to go back and pull this out as I still need to cut out quite a bit of rot in the firewall, cowl passenger area as I want to refit my hvac and get the rest of the interior and such back together

I created a TikTok account and posted a photo of my TRS-2 Ranger and they told me it was offensive. I posted it again and they permanently banned me. The only thing offensive to them is it's USA / 'patriotic' appearance.

Meanwhile, my girlfriend at the time was posting all kinds of hate and drama about her ex-husband and got monthly checks from Tik-Tok for the views.

There's no way I'm going to let TRS be used to support Tik-Tok.

Dang, sorry to hear that. I've been telling all kinds of people about this site, to help with their builds. I will stop doing that so that TRS isn't supporting TIKTOK. That being said, I don't think y'all realize all the cool builds on that app. Turbo'd Rangers, LS swaps,. There is a Honda K swapped Ranger that is built and tuned. One guy built a Splash from 2 Rangers, then put a turbo block from a 88 T-bird in it and is getting around 300 HP at the wheels. Another guy body swapped a Ranchero onto a '09 mustang.
The minitruck scene is growing, largely due to that particular app.

Unless you missed it "thatbrokeranger" is a first gen and what all this talk is about... for all intents and purposes all Ranger engine compartments are very similar until they went to SLA in '98 then the spring buckets and brackets and steering link changed which helped in some aspects and made some things worse...
