Rodent body mass vs surface area does not allow them to realize a lethal terminal velocity during flight.

Maybe aim them at a wall, but you get into a lot of fm = a math that I cant be bothered to do right now.

Potatoe gun. The G-force of acceleration combined with the explosion in the barrel kills them. That way, when they land in the next county, they can't come back.

I think you almost understand my frustration with mice…

My 100# German Shepherd was a better rodent killer than my 16# Bombay cat.
