There are some sign of less than stellar work. Like the cruise control buttons and the partially missing underhood insulation. Still overall I think potentially a great deal.

Cruise buttons are notorious for doing that, they are purely ornamental with that engine anyway.

My impressions:

Carb swap into a late model truck... guy is scared of wiring. Ended up getting forced to do a lot of it to get it where it is if it is done right ( if stuff in the truck works). Watch out for a plethora of scotch locks, butt connectors and wire nuts and lots of electrical gremlins.

Make sure the cluster/speedo works etc.

Proceed with caution on the build quality of the truck.

Also with the shipping stuff, this is the stuff of big scams. I would fly there look at in real life and haul it back myself before I shipped it. And usually when you offer pickup on these too-good-be-true sales the seller flakes because then the scam won't work. Pay cash and leave with the title in hand etc.

Know anyone nearby that could actually go look at it for you?

As for the fan, here is what he said word-for-word.

Top fan on the driverside was to get airflow past the steering column area. There is blockage from the main fan area on that side because the A/C compressor was moved and it needed adequate airflow.

I do have ten days off work beginning July 3rd. Thought maybe renting a econo sled and driving down there. If everything was cool, rent a V-8 pickup from U-Haul with a car hauler trailer, and bring it on back. Don't know if I want to go there, or not.

From what I could gather, truck has been like this since 2013 or 14. So likely it's been sorted out.

Tried to get him to join here and make a YT vid. Says he doesn't have time for that. Told him I have ten days off early July. If it is still available then, I would come down there, look it over, and if I like it, rent a truck and trailer to haul it home. No response since. Ohba Wellba.
