The problem I had did have to do with timing/distributor. The timing chain did not have to be corrected only the distributor which really doesn't make sense to me but supposedly that's what solved my crank no start issue. I was told my distributor was off about 160° which doesn't make sense to me because I myself firstly adjusted it to stock 0° TDC then 10° BTDC and after 2 days of rotating between every version of those timing settings with crank no start I WENT THROUGH EVERY TURN, DEGREE, TOOTH of that distributor a whole 360 and still got crank no start. So I am very cranky about that, regardless I have been driving my ranger around about 3 weeks now and she is buttery smooth compared to what I started with, still have a few things to look at. Thank you everyone for your help so far. 🙇🙇🙇

I'm glad you got it figured out. I'm still wondering if you were on the exhaust stroke of #1 when you lined up your crank dampener marks. That would explain the almost 180 out.

Honestly I don't even know anymore with how confused and unsure this timing/distributor got me. Did it all by the book/stock specs and instruction 🤦 Just glad to be moving on to last few odds and ends
